2024 Sangiovese
Walla Walla Valley

Tasting Notes
Rustic and distinctly site-driven, this single-vineyard Sangiovese has aromas of wild cherry, red plum, dried herbs, and sun-warmed earth lead into a palate that is bright and savoury, with tart red fruit, subtle spice, and a gentle grip of fine-grained tannin. There’s an appealing earthiness beneath the fruit that's reminiscent of dusty farm roads, dry grasses, and the orchard rows that flank the vineyard. Fresh acidity keeps the wine lively, while a lingering finish brings together red fruit, herbs, and a touch of rustic spice. A wine of place, with the charm of the surrounding farmland woven into every glass. Enjoy now with decanting or cellar for 3–5 years to further enhance its complexity and integration.

Vintage Notes
Preceding the harsh winter of 2024 in the Okanagan Valley, this single-vineyard Sangiovese from Dugger Creek captures the pastoral character of its Walla Walla Valley home. Vintage 2024 was a cooler-than-average spring which slowed early vine development across much of the region. As the season advanced into late August and September, cooler night time temperatures introduced the diurnal shift needed for flavour development and the retention of natural acidity. Fortunately, fall frosts held off until November, giving the fruit exceptional hang time in the lower-lying vineyard blocks. These favourable late-season conditions, combined with attentive vineyard management, culminated in a successful and balanced harvest
