“The 2020 Chardonnay shows pure citrus and floral aromas on the nose, along with background notes of freshly baked bread and meringue. The palate is framed by crisp acidity, with Meyer lemon and ripe pear flavours shining through. Complimenting the freshness and precise fruit are pastry flavours and a hint of spice. The mouthfeel is rich and textural, and the long finish combines yet more citrus and yeast driven characters, along with a subtle salinity. A great partner for shellfish, poultry and creamy sauces.”

The 2020 growing season had a slow start due to a cool and damp spring. However, a warm and dry summer and early fall allowed the vines to quickly make up for lost time. With lower than average yields and perfect ripening conditions through August and September, the fruit achieved excellent flavour and phenolic ripeness and was harvested with high levels of concentration and aromatic purity. An outstanding vintage that has produced bold white wines that are full of character.
