Tasting Notes

2022 Syrah - The 2022 Syrah opens with fragrant lavender before revealing juicy, expressive fruit reflective of a moderate growing season that avoided excessive heat spikes. Blackberry, raspberry, and wild blueberry are layered with savoury notes of white pepper and star anise. The rich fruit is framed by well-integrated oak spice from tight-grained French oak barriques. True to its South Okanagan desert roots, the plush, concentrated palate is balanced by lively acidity, with fine-grained tannins leading to a long, brambly finish. Drinking well upon release, this Syrah will continue to build complexity with careful cellaring over the next 5-7 years.

2013 Syrah - This wine is showing balanced evolution through savoury and herbal notes with streaks of black fruit. The palate is lively with juicy black fruit, oak spice, licorice root complemented by bright acidity and strong tannins finishing on the back of the palate.
