The 2019 Per Se is a blend of 76% Cabernet Franc and 24% Merlot. Built on a base of Cabernet Franc, this wine shows aromas of fresh raspberry, cherry and cocoa. The palate brings yet more red fruit flavours, along with hints of sage and star anise, and a slight toasted vanilla nuance which follows through on the long finish. Medium in body with fine tannins and fresh acidity, this vintage of Per Se is drinking very well in its youth. Cellar between 5-10 years to see its full potential.
