2018 Ipso Facto

The 2018 Ipso Facto is a blend comprised of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Syrah. The nose has ripe aromas of black cherry and cassis, hints of black olive, toasty oak, and dark chocolate. The palate is dense and rich with concentrated dark fruits and finishes with silky tannins and fresh, vibrant acidity.
"These two varieties make terrific blending partners. When combined, they create full-bodied wines with silky textures, along with intense black fruit aromas and flavours. This is what we aim for when making Ipso Facto— one of our biggest, boldest reds. We chose specific vineyard parcels for this wine—blocks that give ripe and intense fruit expressions for these varieties. We use specific winemaking techniques to enhance the wine's richness and texture, such as in-barrel fermentation and longer aging on the settled yeast lees. We chose French oak barrels that complement the dark fruit profile and richness of the wine while adding their own subtle complexity to the final blend.
We put a lot of thought into making Ipso Facto."
