In 1996 long-time Vancouverites Bob and Senka Tennant and Peter
and Susan McCarrell decided to fulfill their dreams of moving to
the interior of British Columbia and creating a world-class winery.
They began by purchasing a 34 acre property south of Oliver BC.
They then imported and planted 36,000 vines from Europe -- Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon
Blanc.
Senka Tennant's devout dedication to winemaking and her fastidious
attention to flavour profiles results in Black Hills' highly regarded
Nota Bene and Sequentia
wines, and the new Alibi. |
