Last August was an exciting time for us at Black Hills. We were very busy moving into our new completed facility. Our 2006 crush went without a hitch and it was nice to have all the of the new work space.

We have now dismantled our old winery building and have prepared that 1/2 acre for planting this May. After the long winter we have endured we are certainly looking forward to spring weather and a mid-April bud burst in the vineyard.

New Vintages - Orders Begin April 2, 2007

Beginning April 2 we will be taking orders for Nota Bene 2005 and Alibi 2006.

Please place orders on-line with our easy-to-use order form at www.blackhillswinery.com, or by fax (print the order form from the web site), or by phone. Remember to place your order early to avoid disappointment. We do not have a priority system for people on our mailing list -- our wine is sold on a first-ordered, first-served basis.

We will not be shipping during the extreme temperatures of the summer months. Shipping of Nota Bene 2005 will begin April 16 and Alibi 2006 will ship beginning May 28.

Prepaid, at-the-winery pickups for Nota Bene 2005 only will be available from April 16 to April 30 (sorry, no at-the-winery pickups for Alibi 2006).

Nota Bene 2005

Focused aromas of crushed black fruit, black olive, tobacco, cedar with some shaded dusky spice. Elegant with fine tannins and cherry flavours lingering gently on a harmonious finish. Drink through 2010.
