“Early season heat in 2015 was followed by a perfect balance of warm, days and cool nights. This
provided the perfect conditions for the development of rich and complex flavours, while retaining the
backbone of acidity, in the Bordeaux grapes that make up Nota Bene. This complexity continued to
evolve during its 16 months in French and American oak. The result is luscious aromas of dark
chocolate and ripe black cherries and cassis with hints of vanilla and baking spice. The rich flavours
are further refined by earthy slate and cedar followed by just a hint of savoury black olive on the
palate. The dense texture and velvety tannins of this sumptuous blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon
and Cabernet Franc are fundamental to its long, smooth finish. Enjoy right away with rich meat dishes
like Beef Bourguignon or cellar for up to 10 years.”
Graham Pierce, Winemaker

"The 2015 vintage experienced record-breaking weather. An early spring put us three weeks
ahead of 2014. The dry weather continued as the Okanagan experienced its driest June on
record. A beautiful warm summer led into a cool period in September that helped balance
the ripeness of the fruit and develop those complex flavours we look for. The rest of the
fall was warm which allowed for a long hang time for the fruit."
