What do you do at Black Hills?

General Manager of Hospitality and DTC. Anything that has to do with direct to consumer, events and have an awesome.

What do you do before?

I was the wineshop manager at Hester Creek

How long have you been here?

Since 2009.

What’s the best Black Hills event you have been to and why?

I really like the end of harvest party that we have for the industry and the reason I like it is that it is a great networking opportunity. We get to sabre hundreds of bottles of sparkling BC wine.

Blue Mountain Brut, Tantalus Riesling, Kitsch Riesling

What’s your favourite grape?

Pinot Noir because it’s a harder grape to grow

When you are not at Black Hills working, what are you doing?

Whatever my dog tells me to do. Hiking on the KVR or at the beach or in my garden.

I have red heeler named Patchickles, and two cats Stout and Chachiman

What vacation spot is at the top of your bucket list?

Czech Republic and Ireland

I have been an organic farmer for the past 15 years

I am definitely a doer. I do a lot of hiking, biking and crossfitting.

I liking baking healthy things. I like inventing recipes.

Raw fish - sashimi

Most memorable meal?

When I was in Spain. At the market they were serving wild mushrooms fried with olive and garlic and lemon juice and salt salt salt with a fresh baguette.

Favourite Black Hills wine other than NB?

The Alibi. It’s a breakfast wine. It’s a palate cleansing wine. It’s super refreshing.
